The digital signage industry is dynamically evolving. Each month, the industry is adopting new and innovative techniques to promote businesses. The impact has been such that many businesses in Dubai right from SMEs to MNCs everyone is willingly adopting the latest technology to promote themselves in the market. Be it indoor promotions, outdoor ads or participating in any trade show, event or exhibition, everyone seems to be digitally advanced when it comes to using digital signage services as a medium to promote their respective businesses. LED screens and LCD screens are two new evolving technologies that are rapidly being used by everyone. But many a times people fail to identify the true difference between LED and LCD screens. We have noted down some key differences between LEDs and LCDs that will help you make a better and sound decision.

LCD screens means a liquid crystal display and usually both LEDs and LCD TVs have a liquid crystal display. The basic technology is generally the same in both these types. They both have polarized glasses from which the liquid crystals and block and also pass the light. This simply means that LED TVs are a subset of LCD TVs.

Coming to LED, it is called as a light emitting diode and is quite different from a general LCD TV. Though a LCD uses a glowing colored light, an LED can instead use lights that emit diodes. Besides the placement of the lights on a LED TV can be different. The florescent colored lights in a LCD TV are behind the screen of the TV. On the other hand, in a LED TV the light emitting diodes can be placed significantly either at the back of the screen or also around the edges of the screen. The change in lights and in the lighting placement usually means that the LED TVs can be slimmer than that of LCDs. Though, this trend has instigated to modify. This means that the LED TV screens now run with a greater energy efficiency and can offer a much clearer image as compared to that of an LCD screen. LED screens today offer a much better picture and this possible due to two main reasons. The first reason is because the LED TVs today work with a color wheel or with different RGB colored lights in order to create a more realistic and sharper color experience. Secondly the diodes in a LED TV can be dimmed whenever you want to.

The LCD screen on the other hand are a thin-screen and each one has a particular angle-viewing and anti—glare issues. The backlit TVS will offer a much better and cleaner angle as compared to that of an edge-lit LED TV. Though, a backlit LED TV can have an improved viewpoint of watching than the normal LCD TV.

In short, both LED and LCD screens have their own set of advantages and perks. To know about the best Led screen company in Oman click here.
