Sweet Summer Love Clematis has it all: the flowers, the fragrance, the sturdiness, the ease of growth and the drama for your garden. Cranberry-violet blooms show up earlier and last longer than others - starting in July in the Midwest and Northeast and lasting until mid-September. Sweet Summer Love is a vine that needs something to hang onto, whether that's a dedicated trellis, fencing, archways, or whatever else you can imagine. Clematis are known to get established slowly, so be patient as the root system develops, but expect vigorous growth in following years.
